Herbs, potions, and knowledge

Herbal medicines come in many forms: teas, tinctures, creams, oils, pellets and pills. Some people use herbs in their cooking to produce a healing effect.

Here on the farm we organically grow over 35 varieties of medicinal herbs. Because I have a pharmacy background I also make my own remedies in the forms listed above. If I do not have an herb on hand it is easily ordered from one of many suppliers, but I prefer using my own. We strongly recommend you see a professional herbalist before just buying an herbal product off the shelf. It is necessary to check any prescriptives with any herb you wish to take.

Herbal preparations are compounded specifically for each client so we do not list them here. The cost runs between $10-20 for a compounded item of up to 5 elements, plus shipping and handling, unless an item is rare or hard to find.

During the holidays we will make up herbal baskets and send them out.

~~~ ESSENCES ~~~
We also make gem and flower essences. An essence is a way to use vibratory medicine. It has been found that certain elements in nature vibrate to certain illnesses. If one can find the corresponding element in nature one can help the illness. Right now we are designing our own line of gem essences and are in the process of finding wonderful healing stones to work with. Over the summer we will be making these essences, and a large medica materia will be published here of over 25 gem essences, so please come back.
Ty, my stepson, has been using gems for the past 10 years. See YoYo's page for more information on where he will be appearing and for a list of his gems for sale.
~~ ANIMALS AND HERBS ~~
Animals respond very well to herbs. In fact herbs are very safe for an animal's system, which will recognize a natural product before it will a chemical one. Again we urge you to consult a holistic vet or a professional before giving your pets anything off the shelf.
We make remedies for dogs, cats, and ferrets. Right now we are doing very important work on helping sick ferrets to eat and sustain life. I contribute to The Ferret Mailing List and keep up to date on the lives of ferrets. I am assisted by my own two fuzzies: Miss Jazzy and Mr. Calvin.
You can gain assistance by contacting us through email. We may also work with you by phone.
